Transcrire en distinguant selon l’usage moderne ‘u’ voyelle et ‘v’ consonne. Employer les majuscules seulement en début de phrase et à l’initiale des noms propres. Résoudre les abréviations entre parenthèses, et indiquer de même les lettres suscrites modifiant le son de certaines voyelles, ainsi ‘u(o)’ ; mais ‘u(e)’ est déjà formé comme ‘ü’ et se transcrit donc ainsi. En revanche les points sur ‘y’ font partie de la lettre, qui se transcrira donc simplement ‘y’.
