(wa-tukhalli ʿannak al-ishtighāl bil-jīza (=zija) wa-l-umūr al-hadhayāniyya. Goitein prit d'abord bljyzh comme bil-ijāza (avec Imāla) au sens de tazkiya (certificat de bonne conduite d'un médecin), voir Med. Soc, II, 250. Mais la lecture suggérée ici semble préférable. Plus loin dans la lettre, le père dit : anta muḥārif, « tu es un homme pauvre ». (Information de Goitein, Med Soc III, p. 245 et 480 note 158).
