Dass alle Menschen fähig sind, weyse und gelehrt zu werden, daran
ist wohl kein Zweiffel, weil sie alle mit einem Verstande von Gott
begabet sind. Doch ist kein Mensch von Natur weyse und gelehrt, sondern
stecken alle in der Thorheit und Unwissenheit, indem der Verstand
durch allerhand Hindernüssen der Wahrheit verfinsteret, der Wille aber
durch Lüste verderbet ist. Daher, jener muss erleüchtet und unterwiesen,
dieser aber gebesseret und in Ordnung gebracht werden.
